The Foundation Art Collection is an initiative by the OCC Foundation to bring fine art to the campus of Ocean County College for display, whether permanent or on loan, and for the enjoyment of not only faculty, staff and students but the broader Ocean County Community.
The Foundation Art Collection launched in October 2023 with a temporary display from the esteemed Seward Johnson Atelier of 20 bronze sculptures placed across campus grounds. One of those sculptures, Embracing Peace, is now a permanent exhibit on our campus. With the debut of the Seward Johnson collection, Ocean County College became the fourth New Jersey community college to maintain an art collection.
The Foundation Art collection has grown with additional donations from artists Creighton Michael, Stephan Crohn, Perry (Sammy) Applegate, Francesco Scavullo and more.
Gifts of art may be made to the Foundation for public display through a committee-led intake process. For more information, please contact the Foundation Office at 732-255-0492 or [email protected].
